Why Texas?

Alicia here! Kevin and I thought long and hard about this before undertaking such a lofty task that possibly no one will care about. But really we want a record, even if it is just for us, of the exploits and excitement we've enjoyed across this great state of Texas. 

The idea to blog about our food (and amusement) journeys, started with an impulse purchase at HEB. Anyone who has lived in or visited South Texas knows about this grocery Mecca and all the wonders it offers. Newly put out was the February issue of San Antonio Magazine featuring the 32 Top Stops to Start Your Day. Kevin and I love breakfast, so naturally we were excited to find out what they had listed. Not to leave lunch and dinner out though, we began a dialogue about other restaurants we would list for different cities. An idea was born. We decided to eat and share what we came across, in hopes that someone looking for a good meal in the Lone Star State might use the information to wade through the sea of endless options. Some stops are good, others are bad, and to be cliche, some are plain ugly in every way possible. 

So grab a fork, a knife, and several napkins, because here we go!
